As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
The Region Resource Director II will develop competitive strategies to effectively hire, retain, train and assign resources for a large, complex, or multiple countries. This position will work closely with the Segment directors and Service Directors to drive resource operational processes and compliance by establishing and maintaining operating rhythms throughout the segment. This position will integrate and develop processes that meet resource needs, manage complex issues, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop initiatives focused on resource loading, resource qualifications, and career paths; operationalize initiatives so they are sustained by the Resource and Service Managers
- Develop, communicate and monitor a standardized operating rhythm related to job fulfillment and resource management; simplify where appropriate
- Work with FieldCore Resource Operations and Field Operations Team to drive consistent practices within the region
- Connected with Service Lines to ensure we have the right focus on resource development and needs
- Support long range forecast for region resource needs and partner with HR and Recruiting teams to implement and maintain appropriate staffing strategies and tools to support them
- Lead key event planning sessions, which include all necessary resources for outage execution
- Ensure resources meet customer commitments and region objectives, including developing individual training and development plans and fostering leadership pipeline for the region
- Guide the region resource teams in partnering on initiatives with quality and training departments to develop a training strategy
- Direct the collection and analysis of operations data and compare performance to established metrics for resource utilization, localization, resource qualification, and resource competency
- Track and minimize FIFO
- Travel required
- May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Operations, Engineering, Management or related field (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of Field / Operations experience, in Power Generation installation or maintenance)
- 12+ years of combined experience in project management, operations, field services, engineering, or other related fields
- 7+ years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of power generation products, maintenance, services, and installations
- English proficiency required
Desired Characteristics:
- Master’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; statistically literate and familiar with Six Sigma quality concepts and tools
- Strong ability to motivate others and achieve results
- Strong IT systems and process knowledge (Microsoft applications, oracle etc.)
- Knowledge of recruiting processes, vendors, and industry standards
- Strong customer service mindset
- Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal and leadership skills
- Executive level presentation skills
