Location: San Antonio, TX (JBSA–Fort Sam Houston & BAMC Clinics)

About the Role 
Federal Staffing Resources is seeking licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to support the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), the Department of Defense’s largest inpatient hospital and only Level I Trauma Center. 
 
In this role, you’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to active-duty Service Members, veterans, and beneficiaries in outpatient clinics, inpatient rehab, and medical home settings. 
 
This position is contingent upon federal contract award and successful credentialing.

What You’ll Do 
  • Deliver therapeutic exercises and physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients with gait training, functional mobility, and use of assistive devices
  • Apply physical therapy modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, traction, and massage
  • Observe patient response to treatment and report progress to supervising PT
  • Assist with fitting, adjusting, and training patients on orthopedic braces and mobility aids
  • Accurately document treatment activities in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and healthcare staff to support patient treatment plans

What You'll Need
  • U.S. Citizenship (required by federal contract)
  • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license or certification
  • Minimum 2 years of PTA experience within the past 3 years
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to pass background check, credentialing, and occupational health screening
