Behavioral Healthcare Provider (Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, LICDC)
Toledo Correctional Institution – Toledo, OH
Full-Time | Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) + Rotating Weekends
Federal Staffing Resources is seeking an experienced Behavioral Healthcare Provider to support the Toledo Correctional Institution. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who thrives in a structured, mission-driven environment and is passionate about delivering behavioral health services to a diverse and complex patient population.
In this position, you will work independently within your scope of practice while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term behavioral outcomes.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and admissions coordination across the care continuum
  • Provide behavioral health interventions, including support for acute and complex cases
  • Deliver crisis intervention services as needed
  • Serve as a lead provider or liaison to internal teams and external agencies
  • Participate in the development and improvement of behavioral health programs and treatment systems
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions based on patient progress
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and reporting
  • Actively participate in treatment teams, trainings, and policy/procedure meetings
  • Coordinate referrals and maintain relationships with community and support agencies
Education:
  • Minimum Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s or higher preferred depending on license type)
  • Current BLS card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Licensure (One Required):
  • LICDC – Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor
  • LISW – Licensed Independent Social Worker
  • LPCC – Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
  • IMFT – Independent Marriage & Family Therapist
  • OR Registered Nurse with:
    • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification
    • Specialty in Mental Health or Psychiatry
(All licenses must be active in the state of Ohio and maintained per continuing education requirements.)

  • Strong clinical knowledge in behavioral health and treatment planning
  • Ability to manage complex cases and crisis situations
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary care environments
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and compliance skills
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and support lower-level providers
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with external agencies
Work Schedule
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Weekend work as needed
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role may require:
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 60+ lbs occasionally)
  • Exposure to secure/correctional and clinical environments
  • Working with patients who may have behavioral or psychiatric conditions
  • Use of appropriate protective equipment when required
