Federal Staffing Resources is hiring an Optometrist (Clinical Optometrist / Refractive Surgery Optometrist) to support a premier military refractive surgery program at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
This position works alongside leading ophthalmologists in one of the Department of Defense’s most advanced LASIK and refractive surgery programs, providing vision care that directly supports military readiness.

What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive optometry exams and refractive surgery evaluations
- Diagnose and treat conditions of the visual system
- Manage patients undergoing LASIK, PRK, and SMILE procedures
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative refractive surgery care
- Conduct visual acuity testing and ophthalmic assessments
- Educate patients on treatment plans and vision correction options
- Support clinical research initiatives
- Assist with ophthalmology resident training
What You’ll Need
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
- Active unrestricted optometry license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in refractive surgery or ophthalmology clinic preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Experience
