Description

The Jr. Graphic Designer will work within the FC Dallas Marketing Department in the creation of content for FC Dallas and North Texas SC, concerts and events put on by Toyota Stadium, Toyota Soccer Complex, MoneyGram Soccer Park, Frisco Bowl, and National Soccer Hall of Fame properties.

Working under the direction of the Design Manager in the Marketing Department, your primary responsibility is the creation of business presentations, partner activations and other partnership or business development needs. This designer will be also be responsible for supporting designs and production of a variety of projects for FC Dallas and North Texas SC and all other related properties in a collaborative effort alongside members of the Marketing department.

Each candidate must provide a design portfolio for review. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

What you’ll do:

  • Design partnership presentation needs including deck recap and building, mockups, editing, and other client facing content.
  • Produce creative across multiple media and messaging platforms— i.e., online, in-stadium, social media, outdoor, print, broadcast, multimedia, and more.
  • Understand brand and campaign guidelines and the importance of utilizing them correctly.
  • Assist design team and Marketing leadership by collaborating on creative projects such as advertisements, brochures, corporate identity, logos, packaging, presentations, promotional displays, and signage.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external decision makers and influencers.
  • Ensure all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements and brand standards of the organization and each client.
  • Ability to traffic work throughout organization and manage projects throughout the design process.
  • Communicate with outside vendors as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison effectively with clients and other team members.
  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback on all internal/external design projects.
  • Support other graphic design projects as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Artistic and possess strong technical, written, and verbal skills to communicate with internal or external clients.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects throughout the design process utilizing an online project management system.
  • Deadline-driven and can work in a fast-paced and high energy environment.
  • Capable of ensuring all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements and brand standards of the organization and each client.
  • Open to give and receive feedback with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Capable of maintaining confidential information.
  • Willing to work nights, weekend, and occasional irregular hours in different weather conditions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.\
  • Minimum of 1-year professional design experience with a strong online portfolio.
  • Proficient in Mac and Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat).
  • Strong knowledge of layout, digital, and typography fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes.
  • Motion Graphics and Photography experience is a plus.
  • Copywriting experience a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of MLS and soccer are a plus.
