Position Summary:
The VP, Corporate Treasury will be responsible for overseeing the treasury function and driving strategic initiatives related to capital structure, liquidity management, financial risk, and capital markets transactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate finance and treasury leadership, with experience in high-growth, innovative sectors such as clean energy or technology.
This role will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that EVgo’s financial strategies support our operational goals and long-term vision.
Responsibilities
- Capital Structure Management: Develop and execute strategies to optimize EVgo’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing, and ensure adequate liquidity to support business operations.
- Cash Management: Oversee daily cash management operations, including forecasting cash flow needs, maintaining optimal liquidity, and managing working capital.
- Banking Relationship Management: Maintain and foster relationships with banking institutions and other financial partners. Lead negotiations and maintain lines of credit and financing agreements.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks related to foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodity exposures. Develop hedging strategies and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Capital Markets: Lead capital market activities, including equity and debt issuance, and work with external advisors to optimize funding strategies.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the CFO and leadership team on strategic planning initiatives and provide financial insights for business development and M&A activities.
- Debt Compliance: Ensure compliance with debt covenants and reporting requirements. Monitor and report on key financial metrics and treasury performance.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or capital markets, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of corporate treasury management, capital markets, and financial risk management.
- Experience in high-growth, innovative industries such as clean energy, technology, or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage complex banking relationships and financial instruments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $200,000.00 USD to $225,000.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
