Intern Position Summary:
 
EVgo is looking for a mission-driven, project-oriented Intern (EV Charging Strategy, Product) for the 2025 summer internship season to explore key product strategies, particularly around utilization, network planning, and customer-experience.  The role will research customer behavior, explore data, build financial models, and ultimately offer recommendations to ensure best-in-class customer experience for current and future customers.
 
This internship will provide an opportunity to explore, define, and solve for a seamless EV customer charging experiences within EVgo’s Product Team, helping to expedite mass adoption of EVs.   EVgo’s Product Team tackles these strategic opportunities by building future roadmaps and implementing real-world solutions. 

This internship will be 10-weeks, 40-hours per week. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Examine real-world data and work with cross-functional teams to characterize existing utilization and customer experience at charging stations. 
  • Explore trends in technology, business practices, and customer offerings, ensuring EVgo has a complete view of the competitive landscape. 
  • Build and deliver business models, including financial analysis/model, related to utilization and customer experience. 
  • Provide innovative and strategic recommendations on real-world implementation related to utilization and customer experience. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams—including with Growth, Operations, Deployment, and Analytics—to explore analytical, operational, and financial impacts; drive proactive planning and execution.
  • Report to stakeholders via presentations, project management and internal reporting.
 
Preferred Skills and Experience:
 
  • A currently enrolled student master’s program (MBA or similar) with a focus in finance, strategy, product development, data analytics or a related field
  • A self-starter who is unapologetically curious
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Passionate about EVs
  • Developed understanding of the current public fast-charging landscape
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong research skills and distill complex information into key insights.
 
The hourly pay for this position is $22.00 - $33.00 USD.  The hourly pay may vary depending on job-related factors, including education, knowledge, skills, and experience.
