Position Summary: 
 
The Technical Account Manager reports into the head of PlugShare’s data products, and supports the sales, customer care, and product teams by providing technical support and liaison to clients that use the following 2 products: 
 
PlugShare DataTool: This Tableau-based dashboard product allows clients to tap into PlugShare’s global EV public charging infrastructure database, the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the world. Clients can use the DataTool to easily perform highly complex analyses with a choice of dozens of variables. 
 
PlugShare Data Licensing: We license the PlugShare’s global EV public charging infrastructure database for use in third party products and applications, including integration into automaker head units/nav systems. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Assist clients with onboarding, product training and technical advice. 
  • Working with PlugShare’s data engineer, devise solutions to clients’ technical support issues before and after the sales process. 
  • Learn customers’ setup, typical workflows, goals, and the use cases for PlugShare’s products in order to better serve their needs. 
  • Help clients get better value from the PlugShare products they’ve purchased. Show them how to unlock hidden potential they might not have realized was there. 
  • Use client feedback to help the PlugShare team identify areas for product improvements. 
Required Skills and Experience: 
  • A bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a related role, including as a technical account manager, technical support engineer, pre-sales engineer, or technical consultant. 
  • A working understanding of database management and data analysis. Experience using Tableau is highly desirable. 
  • Experience in the automotive and/or energy sectors is a big plus, since most clients fall into these categories. 
  • An interest in electric vehicles, green energy production, environmental protection. 
  • Highly level of organization and the ability to track multiple projects at once. 
  • Clear, cogent writing skills, with fastidious proofreading and style consistency. 
 
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
