Position Summary: 
 
As the Government Grants and Compliance Manager, you will manage and enhance EVgo’s compliance program with functional oversight of EPC contractors.  The successful candidate team member should have a background in management, implementation and a deep knowledge of federal and state labor requirements, experience managing government contracts and/or grants. 
This role will report to the Director of Business Optimization and will collaborate across internal teams (project management, project engineering and legal) as well as external parties (consultants and EPCs), to ensure that management practices by EVgo and third parties are appropriate to document and maintain compliance with Davis Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA).   
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Actively manage consultant(s) responsible for payroll wage verification and monitoring.
  • Manage and evaluate the cost effectiveness of 3rd party services to address risk and industry best practices.  
  • Review and evaluate scope on an annual basis.  
  • Monitor and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve the management of EVgo’s compliance program supported visa-a-vis systems, policies or procedures enhancements
  • Interface with internal teams and government representatives concerning compliance matters in support of internal and/or external supplier audits. 
  • Grow the internal teams’ capabilities on topics of labor and contractor compliance by providing guidance, training, and leadership on compliance topics.  
Required Skills/Experience:  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business administration or other  
  • relevant degree.  
  • Experience: Three (3) or more years of management experience. (5) or more years relevant government contracts experience.  
  • Experience with federal labor laws pertaining to construction: Davis Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA), and / or state public works projects, (e.g. CA DIR). 
  • Experience implementing or contractor compliance program and/or certified payroll management system. 
  • Experience with from the US Department of Energy or Department of Labor is a plus. 
  • Internal Audit or experience managing consultants and EPC contractors, 
  • Must possess strong planning, interpersonal, decision making, and problem-solving skills  
  • Excellent written and communication skills to secure understanding and cooperation of multiples functions. 
  • Ability to develop and maintain external industry contacts that can contribute positively to the success of the organization.  
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $140,000 USD to $165,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
