The PM has overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of multiple concurrent projects. The project manager needs technical project management skills, and demonstrate experience in financial management and strategic business management. The IT project manager defines the project objectives and scope for each phase of the project, overseeing quality control throughout the project’s life cycle, acquiring resources, managing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects/products according to plan. The PM is a team player with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The PM needs to demonstrate a strong desire for quality and attention to detail with excellent problem solving and organizational skills. The PM needs to demonstrates leadership qualities including flexibility and adaptability to change.
Project Scope:
The Desktop Refresh Projects are annual projects that focuses on refreshing client laptops, desktops and MFDs on a 4-5 year life cycle. This project is implemented to replace out of warranty and failing machines, which helps to reduce support cost and increases reliability and productivity.
Project Description and Responsibilities:
You will be managing a collection of desktop refresh projects. There are typically about 15 projects in total.
- Mid-Year Charter creations
- Determine what will be in scope based on refresh report
- Scheduling/monitoring project work.
- Create and Manage 15 project schedules in MS project
- Update status reports bi-weekly
- Scheduling and leading monthly team meetings with FAL, project Directors and Managers and key resources.
- Manage the budgets for all 15 projects on a weekly basis.
- Update monthly forecasts within SAP Fiori
- Update weekly status within SAP Fiori
- Recording POs, miscellaneous travel, and shipping charges in the budget spreadsheet.
- Verifying that the POs are charged to the correct WBS.
- Keeping track of partial PO deliveries and notate what is outstanding.
- Manage labor budget
- Recording and verifying labor charges.
- Vendor Relationship
- Attend bi-weekly vendor meetings
- Contact vendors regarding shipping status
- Closing Inventory Process
Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
- Responsible for the successful management of projects
- Manages project life cycle from initiating through delivery and project closure
- Manages the day-to-day activities of projects and project resources
- Creates, manages and tracks project documents including, but not limited to: project schedules, financials (budgets: estimates and actuals), detailed project plans, scope documents, work breakdown structures, cost estimates, resource plans, risk and issue logs and regular status reporting
- Organizes, conducts and attends meetings with project team and stakeholders to facilitate all levels of project planning
- Manages multiple projects concurrently ( 10 +), Large Teams, Geographically Dispersed
- Works with project managers of other teams to ensure overall business and operational requirements are met for company initiatives
- Lead steering committee meetings with IT and Business leadership
- Lead technical and requirements gathering sessions- bringing people and understanding together
- Communicates and collaborates with internal and external customers as needed including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with stakeholders
- Drives decisions, including difficult tradeoffs between resources, schedule, and functionality
- Works with third party integration teams to coordinate integration and testing
- Creates and maintains relationships across the organization
- Manages the finances of a project including planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing and controlling costs so the project can be completed within the approved budget.

Preferred Skills:
PMP Certification
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Engineering or related field
5-7 years of related experience in a technology environment, including two to three years of professional experiences in project management
