About the role:     
     
The Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing product performance in the fleet. Provides support for the data management activities of the Quality/Customer Service organization. Collaborates with Engineering/Quality/CS teams and Information Technology.        
     
What you will do:      
  • Monitor, visualize, build dashboards to identify and proactively act on potential product issues in the fleet.
  • Escalate product issues based on data
  • Functions as a resource to departments and process improvement teams in the areas of quality data management and statistical graphing.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and quality improvement.
  • Work with cross functional teams to understand their needs and run scripts / advanced queries to support their analysis.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the dataset and able to drill down and wide.
  • Run advanced SQL queries on various databases upon request.
  • Write python / pyspark / R scripts for data cleaning and transformations.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive product/process improvements.
     
Who you are and what you bring:     
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science  
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist / Analyst  
  • Strong problem-solving skills  
  • Proven ability to work independently and accurately.  
  • Advanced skills in BI tools like Power BI / Incorta / Tableau
  • Keen ability for pattern recognition and data modeling  
  • Advanced SQL / Python / Pyspark skills
  • Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills 
  • Seasoned analytical skills, superior oral and written communication skills and an infectious can-do approach to work
