About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to design, develop, and conduct accelerated product life tests. This position will focus on the Enphase's Solid-State Transformer (SST) platform — a new category of grid-scale power conversion product built around a modular, GaN-based power architecture that scales from a single power module to multi-MW skids for AI data center and other high-density grid-connected applications. In this role, you will partner with the CTO organization to accelerate the development of the SST product. You will develop reliability test setups, improve product qualification process, lead early-stage de-risking of reliability issues, drive testing of new parts and product innovation, and support accelerated lifecycle and reliability testing.
What You Will Do
- Drive and implement solutions to address reliability issues to deliver products on time
- Design of experiments to eliminate the risk associated with new parts and products
- Collaborate with production engineers and quality team to improve product qualification process
- Establishing and maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of all work including status updates and project findings
- Help develop and maintain the reliability test platform for the Solid-State Transformer Product
Who You Are and What You Will Bring
- B.E. in Engineering or Physics with 4+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s Degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proven ability to apply scientific problem-solving techniques with strong attention to detail
- Experience in design of experiments of accelerated life testing
- Hands-on experience with installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical equipment
- Experience with power supplies, inverters and medium voltage systems
- Capable of developing simulation tools to predict quality test results
- Experience interacting with field application, engineering, and product management teams
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated technical leadership: leading projects, influencing design changes, and mentoring engineers
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Previous experience developing medium voltage (MV) systems (0 – 35 kV)
- Expertise with test plans, acceptance criteria, and reliability test protocols for MV components and systems
- Ability to interpret MV test results, diagnose failures, and recommend design or process improvements
- Familiarity with probability and statistics
- Some experience presenting to executives
