 As an Interior Install Technician Crew Chief  you will be responsible for the overall operation of your assigned team fabricating and refurbing aircraft interiors. You will oversee and direct work flow to the assigned teams including customer contact, scheduling, and production.

Essential Job Functions: 

  1. Is responsible to ensure the work performed is done in accordance with the goals set forth for the project in both man hours and calendar times.  
  2. Is responsible to see that all repairs are completed in a manner to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations  (FAR’s)   
  3. Is responsible that all team members have the required training and instruction to complete the maintenance / repairs on all items within the scope of their assignment as approved per the Repair Station certificate.   
  4. Ability to work scheduled shift   
  5. Keep work area clean and safe and direct other team members in proper and safe work habits   
  6. Work with a team, including other service areas, in order to accomplish an established goal  
  7. Able to lead and direct disassemble and reassemble aircraft interiors  
  8. Able to lead and direct the fit and modification needs to aircraft interior components   
  9. Able to lead and direct as well as fabricate interior parts from scratch using the latest fabrication techniques   
  10. Able to guide and direct the small part refurbishments of interior components as needed. 
  11. Able to guide and direct the cut, fit and trim carpet or flooring as required  
  12. Able to DL and Repair damaged interior components as required.  Can delegate the duties of the work as needed, but is ultimately responsible for the DL and do P&L’s as needed.  

Job Specific Requirements: 

 Competencies:       

  •  Interior Removal and Install experience (at least five years) 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Positive attitude 
  •   

Physical: 

  •  Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. 
  • Reach with hands or arms grasp or pull, and lift objects up to 25 lbs.  
  • Work will occasionally require lifting up to 100 lbs.  
  • Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and loud noises. 
  •   

Other: 

  • Ability to read, write and speak English.  
  • Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  •  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public. 

  Education and Experience: 

  •  High school diploma or equivalent
