This hands-on position is responsible for fabricating and refurbishing aircraft interior furnishings.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

• Performs basic stripping operations of coverings from existing interior panels and re-cover with new materials
• Repair damaged interior panels as directed
• Removal and installation of aircraft interior components
• Assists in aircraft detailing and cleaning
• Work with leather and fabrics to refurbish aircraft seating to high quality levels
• Assists in patterning, cutting, sewing, and trimming upholstery fabrics for drapery, divans, chairs, headliners, side panels, containers, and engine and propeller covers
• Documents all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
• Works with team in order to complete established goals

Top candidates will possess: 

• Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
• Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements

Other requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
• Experience sewing and pattern-making preferred
• Experienced in foam/buildup/evaluation/disassembly and assembly of seating components preferred
