This position is responsible for assisting in all phases of aircraft painting, interpreting renderings, layout design of stripes, logos, and registrations numbers, and participate in masking, stripping, sanding, and preparing aircraft for paint. If you have a passion for aviation and a keen eye for detail, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. You'll be responsible for creating stunning and unique paint designs for a variety of aircraft.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Fabricate stencils, mix paints, layout and apply stripes, layout and apply insignias
  • Assists with and applies design layout tapes per renderings
  • Applies sealer, and masks the aircraft using tapes and paper products (to protect windows, seals, struts, cables, etc.) in preparation for the stripping, priming, and painting processes
  • Cleaning and sanding in preparation for the stripping, priming, and painting processes
  • Applies etch and anti-corrosion coating to aircraft and rinsing
  • Applies paint to the aircraft interior and exterior surfaces
  • Polishing and detailing exterior paint
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in auto or aircraft painting layout required
  • Ability to read and understand aircraft maintenance manuals for placard placement
