Description

The Master Data Manager & Support is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and governance of Customer Master Data across the organization. This role will lead to the development and enforcement of master data policies, standards, and processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The position will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to both Finance and IT, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration to maintain data consistency across Salesforce, ERP systems, and other platforms. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·        Master Data Governance & Integrity 
  • Develop and implement master data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Customer Master Data across systems.
  • Maintain and enforce data stewardship roles and responsibilities within the organization.
·        Data Lifecycle Management 
  • Oversee creation, updates, and archival of customer master records.
  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues using established tools and methodologies.
  • Maintain a master data dictionary and metadata repository.
·        Cross-Functional Collaboration 
  • Partner with Finance and IT teams to align master data processes with business objectives.
  • Support integration projects involving Salesforce and ERP systems.
  • Facilitate resolution of data conflicts and harmonization across platforms.
·        Process Improvement & Technology 
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline master data processes.
  • Research and implement best practices and emerging technologies in master data management.
  • Provide training and guidance to data stewards and business users.
·        Compliance & Reporting 
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and internal audit requirements.
  • Develop and monitor data quality KPIs and governance dashboards.
·        Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and organization.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
 
·       Typically reports to Management Direct Supervisor job title(s) Typically include: Senior Director of Admin with matrix reporting to Finance and IT 
·       Job IS directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management. Job title example(s) of employees directly supervised: Data Analyst 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
 
·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·        Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities. Must be able to manage multiple priorities while meeting assigned deadlines
·        Must exercise strong decision making and analytical thinking 
·        Ability to work independently and with teams 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 
·        Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
·        5+ years in Master Data Management or Data Governance roles.
·        Proven experience with Salesforce CRM and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
·        Experience implementing data governance frameworks in large organizations.
·        Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data management tools (Informatica, SAP MDG, etc.).
WORKING CONDITIONS
 
·         Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
·         Travel requirements: Domestic: Up to 20%
·        Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
