CSCI Consulting is seeking a Junior SharePoint Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint solutions that enhance collaboration, streamline business processes, and improve information management. The ideal candidate will have some experience with SharePoint development, a strong willingness to learn, and a passion for working in a dynamic technical environment.
 
Responsibilities 
 
  • SharePoint Solution Development: Assist in the development, customization, and configuration of SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications based on business requirements.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business users to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop tailored SharePoint solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Site Maintenance: Support the creation and management of SharePoint site collections, lists, libraries, and other components to improve data organization and workflow efficiency.
  • PowerShell Automation: Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate SharePoint tasks and streamline daily operations.
  • Issue Resolution & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, providing technical support to end-users as needed.
  • System Maintenance: Assist in ensuring that the SharePoint environment is secure, up-to-date, and operating efficiently, following best practices.
  • Integration Support: Contribute to the integration of SharePoint with other enterprise systems and applications, enhancing overall functionality.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in QA testing to ensure SharePoint solutions meet functional and performance standards.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain clear technical documentation and assist in user training to ensure effective use of SharePoint solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations: Maintain a positive relationship with customers and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of project requirements.
  • Data Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to established data standards, policies, and best practices across all SharePoint solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a strong motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies to improve SharePoint solutions and overall value to the organization.
Minimum Requirements 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience working with SharePoint or related technologies.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Basic understanding of SharePoint Online, including document libraries, lists, workflows, and site components.
  • Ability to support the back-end configuration of SharePoint for workflows and record retention.
  • Experience with PowerShell for SharePoint task automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into practical and effective SharePoint solutions.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, or Power Apps/Power Automate is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server and general web development concepts.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills 
 
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer and developing custom workflows and solutions.
  • Familiarity with Power Apps or Power Automate to streamline and automate processes within SharePoint.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server for data management and query tasks.
  • Experience in enterprise systems integration and working with complex SharePoint environments.
