Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the consolidation and analysis of company wide operating metrics, financial forecasting and the annual operating plan. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for collaborating with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in areas of financial planning and budgeting.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares and analyzes consolidated reporting at all levels of the organization on actuals, forecasts and prior fiscal year.
  • Performs analysis of daily, weekly and monthly performance metrics.
  • Develops financial models, financial statement analyses, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Creates financial models for strategic planning and budget processes that simulate business operations and thought leadership.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and excel dashboards.
  • Supports, analyzes, and assists in the preparation and review of the company’s commission program and annual operating budget.
  • Supports and develops in high detail analyses of the company’s regional, product, and supplier revenue results.
  • Supports and develops in high detail analyses of balance sheet forecasts and the associated cash flow forecasts.
  • Assists with presentations to help summarize financial results in a comprehensive and easy to understand format.
  • Assists in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan, and modeling tools.
  • Develops, edits, and maintains databases using Microsoft Tool Suite.
  • May assist Accounting Team in month-end closing results to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Participates in special ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Implements and reinforces company policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • College Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an analytical role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Financial Planning, Analyses, or similar role in the distribution industry.
  • Experience with financial modeling in a multi-location environment preferred.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • NetSuite a plus
