Description

The Associate Functional Analyst - ERP role will focus on training, implementing, and supporting company-wide functional business solutions through application configuration/development as well as support activities. This includes troubleshooting applications and software for all internal customers, such as Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other business units. The Analyst is also responsible to define, develop, test, analyze, maintain, and improve in-house and vendor provided software applications. This includes engagement in research, design, and documentation of software specifications throughout the systems development life cycle. 
 
Strategy & Planning     
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Project Manage and track the status of various projects throughout the project lifecycle.
     
Acquisition & Deployment     
  • Assist in significant parts of system migration project planning and implementation
  • Plan and conduct system user training on-site and remotely as required across all functional areas
  • Provide on-site data conversion support as required
  • Provide on-site hyper care of newly migrated branch locations
     
Operational Management     
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, informational needs, and data sources,
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations.
  • Translate business needs into clearly defined and detailed business requirements, inclusive of business use cases, process flows, traceability matrices as well as report mock-ups.
  • Stay ahead of the new ERP features, functionality, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Work with end users at all levels on usability / Help Desk issues.  

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Experience     
  • Working, hands-on knowledge with general operating processes in the areas of Finance, Sales, Purchasing,
  • Whse Operations, Dispatch/Transportation, and Rental/Repairs
  • At least 1 years’ experience with the day-to-day experience within Colony branch operations
  • Understanding of ERP workflow functionality and processes
  • Foundational understanding of common industry-standard business practices in accounting, supply chain, distribution, and warehouse management
  • Foundational experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Formal Education & Certification     
  • University degree - field of Business, Distribution, or Supply Chain desired
  • 1+ years related work experience (preferably internal with Colony).

Work Conditions

  • Moderate to heavy travel between locations required.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Able to maneuver and work inside the warehouse environment.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
