Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? Liquid Web is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain our facilities and equipment at our Lansing, MI data centers. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our facilities running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Utilizing power tools, machinery, and strict safety protocols, you’ll help maintain a clean, secure, and efficient work environment. This position requires travel between our Lansing data center locations and the flexibility to respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations as needed.

 

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position in our Lansing DCs with a pay range of $21 - $23/hr.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in top condition
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems and equipment
  • Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and inventory
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and manlifts safely
  • Build, install, and maintain equipment, including cable termination and installation
  • Assist with custodial duties and outdoor maintenance (such as plowing) when needed
  • Use chemicals safely in accordance with MSDS guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report hazards
  • Participate in the incident management process
  • Be on-call 24/7 for facility emergencies

 

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a technical or industrial setting
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience terminating cables and performing installations
  • Ability to work independently while following directions
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer skills to navigate internal systems
  • Ability to read and understand labels, safety notices, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a Data Center environment
  • Experience operating a plow truck
