About the Job

As Production Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for all robot builders. Communication skills are utmost important in your day to day activities. You will have a strong understanding of manufacturing priorities, and will ensure the team is operating smoothly and effectively collaborating. Ultimately, you should lead by a good example and engage the team to achieve department goals. This position will include leading the assembly teams for our  Clearpath Robotics platforms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Day-to-day direction and supervision of all robot builders.
  • Manage kit deliveries, shortage status, blockers, production flow and tasks for all product lines.
  • Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
  • Completing 1:1 meetings, and performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Generate detailed reports about team performance, strategic initiatives, and deadlines.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure benches, tooling, and work instructions are up to date.
  • Champion & implement continuous improvement initiatives in all production areas.
  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment; investigate safety concerns and take appropriate action to maintain the health and safety of department personnel. 5S audits and housekeeping.
  • Ensure and maintain quality procedures and standards are consistently followed, and take effective corrective actions to remediate any manufacturing deficiencies.
  • Ensure the team enters accurate and actionable data, and maintain production jobs in our ERP system
  • Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production tools and equipment.
  • Step in to assist robot builds when required

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to allow efficient communication with team members, management and engineers.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to read technical drawings and interpret BOMs.
  • Good understanding of products and their required process steps, including assembly and other sub-assembly processes a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent written language and verbal communication skills.
