About the Job
 
We are building a robotics platform. We are growing and need to add a new Intermediate Program Manager to manage both our internal teams and external relationships with key partners.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating program deliverables and serving as the point of contact between partners and other departments. Your goal is to manage the efforts of team members to ensure our programs are delivered on time and that our partners’ needs are met.

Your Primary Responsibilities will be:
  • Generate and manage the Joint Program Plan from kickoff to product release
  • Scheduling, Task Decomposition, and Resource Management
  • Analyze, evaluate, and mitigate program risks, and produce reports for management and stakeholders
  • Actively manage and expedite critical path tasks
  • Create and maintain a program schedule Gantt chart
  • Work with technical leads to identify:
    • Tasks and Dependencies
    • Resources Requirements (Personnel, Equipment, etc.)
  • Integrate with Software, Hardware and OEM Development Programs
  • Work with the other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple programs
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional team, external vendors and partners
  • Track Program/Product Requirements and Specifications
  • Ensure completion of requirements implementation and verification
  • Working with external partners to ensure program success.  Establish and maintain:
    • Joint schedule
    • Joint risk management activities
    • Communication channels with all stakeholders
    • Action logs and tracking actions to completion
  • Risk Assessment and Management
    • Maintain a Risk Register

    • Conflict Resolution
    • Relationship Management    
Required Technical Skills
  • Project Management Software
    • Gantt Charts (i.e. MS Project)
    • Task and Issue Tracking (i.e. JIRA)
    • Configuration Control
    • Requirements and Specifications tracking
  • Documentation
    • Solid writing skills
    • Good with spreadsheets to communicate complicated status
    • Executive presentations through effective slides
    • Documentation
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience from previous work placements (co-ops included)
  • Conflict resolution and people interface skills
  • Experience with direct customer contact
As our next Program Manager, you know how to under promise and over deliver, adapt to changing directions, priorities and personalities, and work with multiple stakeholders.  You have program management experience from previous work placements.

  • Managing engineering related programs with external partners
  • Mechatronics background
  • Experience in managing partners
  • 1-2 years of engineering design experience from previous work placements
  • Experience managing and creating processes 
  • The ability to write macros or scripts with Office programs, JIRA or data processing.
