You will be responsible for mechanical/mechatronics designs of existing and new  robotics products. This will range through the entire design process from initial concept design and cost forecasting through to detailed design and final release to production.  It will be your job to design and build robust robotic systems that adhere to the high standards of performance and quality that we set for our products.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Developing our line of innovative robots for worldwide customers
  • Performing ground-up design work supported by engineering fundamentals, analysis and testing
  • Creating and maintaining 3D models and drawings for both manufacturing and customers (Solidworks, PLM, BOMs, user manuals)
  • Working with interdisciplinary teams to optimize product designs
  • Accepting responsibility for your designs in the complete lifecycle from concept to customer
  • Getting your hands dirty and working with your designs
  • Mentoring junior staff, technicians and co-op students
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Evaluating how we can apply lessons-learned from other industries to our designs
  • Supporting the evaluation of existing and new suppliers
  • Participating in certification and compliance reviews
  • Designing and building cable harnesses and busbars, developing cable management strategies, testing integrated systems, and working in close collaboration with Electrical Designers
