Chief Construction is seeking an Estimator to join the Chief team.  This position will process and confirm quote and bid requests in a timely and accurate manner.  Price check orders and process man-hours.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes construction estimates and components in an accurate, timely manner.
• Maintains quote backlog, works at fast pace and help others when possible.
• Understands Chief Buildings product line and how to apply it into project quote.
• Reviews the customer sketches or Architectural plans and questions/clarifies any variances that may occur.
• Creates special pricing for conditions that are not covered by our standard pricing programs.
• Helps the Sales Department with preliminary project layout to lead them towards the most economical and efficient design.
• Must be able to understand schematic and incomplete progress drawings in order to conceptualize a complete project and overall estimate.
• Keeps all pricing quotes and standards current in the ProEst system.
• Conducts all business with professional manner: phone, email, written, and personal.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, Project Managers, customers, architects, sub-contractors, and suppliers.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or GED, required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or relevant experience, preferred.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Must possess the ability to read architectural plans and specifications
• Minimum of  1-3 years’ experience in the estimating field.
