Are you passionate about paid media and connecting businesses with millions of customers? Do you get excited over strategizing new initiatives, analyzing data and developing campaigns that will better target customer needs? Have you supported enterprise level campaigns across paid search, paid social, display and video? Then the Paid Media Manager role here at CARFAX might be just for you. This role will join a growing team of paid media experts who are tasked with reaching millions of customers for Team CARFAX. This role will be based in our Centreville, VA location and report to the Senior Manager – Paid Media.
At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 3 days a week in our Centreville office subject to change with future business needs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Strategize, develop, manage, and optimize large scale campaigns across all sections of the marketing funnel and multiple paid media channels.
  • Showcase an understanding of the paid media program holistically and adapt campaign tactics in real time as goals and market conditions change.
  • Act as a self-starting strategic thought leader on new and innovative ways to reach our consumers.
  • Support the business as an analytical thinker with an advanced, data driven approach to paid media.
  • Combine performance metrics with analytics data to monitor campaign goals and develop media plans that align to the strategic goals of CARFAX.
  • Foster strong partnerships with our paid media vendors to stay on top of the latest trends and keep campaigns cutting edge.
  • Plan and develop scroll stopping creative that is eye-catching across platforms.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ hands-on paid media campaign management.
  • Minimum 3 years managing budgets in at least one of these platforms: Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Bing Ads, and/or DV360.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and proven ability to leverage data to make intelligent, actionable business decisions.
  • Ability to communicate results, insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Actively involved in collaborating with paid media and cross-functional teams, exchanging insights, and adapting channels based on findings.
  • The ability to independently develop ideas and strategies that lead to success and the growth of marketing channels.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of attention to detail with a test and learn approach to performance improvement.
  • Deep understanding of the latest trends, challenges and capabilities in the paid media industry.
  • Management experience with CRMs or CDPs, proper handling and activation of 1st party data.
  • Experience with direct buying display & retargeting through Google DV360, Google Campaign Manager and other DSPs.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting in platforms such as: Tableau, Looker Studio, PowerBI.
  • Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Google Tag Manager experience.
