Position Overview: 
Bulletproof is seeking a Brand Manager to support several product lines for Bulletproof. This role will set strategy and execute on objectives for the business involving innovation, pricing, packaging, and consumer communication.  
The role is highly cross-functional requiring attention to detail, project management and execution skills, and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously. An ideal candidate will not only manage cross-functional teams and key deliverables but will also develop a perspective on brand strategy and become expert on our target consumer. This is a broad role that provides exposure to many facets of the business. 
Key Responsibilities: 
General Management 
  • Supports development and management of product line business plans. Makes recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging and product lifecycle. Closely monitors product line performance and reporting.
  • Supports development of annual operating and marketing plans. Leads product objectives and strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging, promotions and marketing.
  • Executes projects as needed against existing product lines, which could include packaging updates (routing, approvals), assistance with selling materials, analysis to optimize business performance.
Marketing Communication & Promotions 
  • Applies consumer insights and market research to gain understanding of consumer, customer, competitive environment and channel needs for the product or category.
  • Builds strong relationships within a matrix structure to ensure marketing message consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Supports the development and tracking of marketing plans and tactics across channels.
  • Flawlessly implements and executes marketing strategies to support business objectives.
Product Innovation 
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and timelines to commercialize innovation/renovation products and programs. Strong leadership of and collaboration with cross-functional partners required to ensure successful launch, which includes product concept (pricing, packaging, positioning), asset development (video, photo), and go-to-market plans.
  • Assists in defining strategy reflecting competitive and consumer trends and market needs.
  • Assist with capacity, sourcing, and cost reduction opportunities to hit financial targets and ensure consistent supply.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; 3+ years of experience in a brand management or product management role. CPG experience preferred.
  • OR Master’s degree with 2+ years CPG experience in a role supporting brand management or product management.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; comfortable with syndicated data; ability to analyze business trends and financial metrics.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning and forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing vehicles and marketing fundamentals.
  • Must be able to work in a matrix environment, able to work independently and to collaborate cross functionally, and be a strong team player.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Functions effectively with ambiguity.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Annual base salary gross: $95,000 – $105,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position.  The base salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other benefits include performance bonus program, generous time-off, flexible schedules, comprehensive health insurance (several options to choose from), 401k program with company match, paid parental leave, company paid disability insurance, and store discount & credit.
