About Commercial
Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin’s commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
- Collaborate with clinics, BioMarin field sales, and RareConnections personnel to ensure timely therapy initiation and adherence.
- Work within an account team to move cases from referral to product start.
- Educate patients and caregivers on BioMarin products, including safety, efficacy, dosing, administration, and storage.
- Provide in-person reinforcement of injection training as needed.
- Use motivational interviewing to empower patients and caregivers.
- Conduct ongoing education on disease and product administration.
- Participate in patient educational events approximately three times a year.
- Demonstrate leadership within the team and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
- Generate and communicate best practices.
- Identify and solve obstacles and trends.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on achondroplasia and VOXZOGO.
- Contribute to regional and national assignments, such as training and advocacy group liaison.
- Take on peer leadership opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and motivational interviewing skills.
- Strong presentation skills for small and large groups.
- Team player who demonstrates BioMarin Commercial values.
- Action-oriented and solution-focused.
- High business acumen and adaptability.
- Expert navigation of Teams and SF.com as platforms.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator.
- 4+ years of direct patient care experience in rare diseases.
- Education as an allied health care professional.
- Successful background check.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record.
- Willingness to travel to see patients in their homes. Some overnight travel required (up to 30%).
