The Associate, Business Analytics role supports Research and Development (R&D) within the Operational Insights Center (OIC) in designing, developing and maintaining non-GXP computer systems that process and store business operational data. This position requires introductory technical abilities in the Power Platform low-code approach, as well as junior Power BI and SQL development experience. Familiarity with Development Operations (“DevOps”) concepts like version control systems (Git), change management processes, validation and testing of system outputs, and authoring of documentation (User Requirements, Design Requirements, Administrator Guides and User Guides) are preferred. In addition to technical skills, this role requires an acquaintance with soft skills that promote communication with stakeholders; understanding the unique requirements of the consumers of technical solutions produced by OIC is critical the BA skillset. Successful candidates are organized and self-motivated to solve technical problems independently, display curiosity for new and modern approaches, and are active participants in stakeholder meetings in driving consensus to the technical presentation of a solution.
 
Detailed Responsibilities
 
Business Solution Implementation
 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups in evaluating new systems in the context of business needs, including the planning, design, development, configuration, and deployment of new systems and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Participates in the development of processes related to the use of systems relevant to World Wide Research and Development. Automates business processes where possible.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with critical business partners in IT (CFIT, Database Ops, Infrastructure, Security) and Quality
  • Integrates key datasets from cross-functional partners.
  • Provides data visualization of business analytics and provides recommendations on key performance metrics.
  • Models and visualizes historical data (time-series data) to inform scenario and long-range business planning.
 
System Support
 
  • Authors process documents including User Requirements Specifications, System Design Documents, System Configuration Documents, Administrator Guides, and User Guides.
  • Develops and deploys training to users for OIC systems and provides first-level user support for OIC systems.
  • Develops and implements recommendations for optimizing OIC system performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate on new project intake prioritization and backlog reduction of business needs.
 
Technical Skillset
 
Required:
 
  • Power BI experience (quantitative calculations, visualization development)
  • Power Automate (intermediate Workflow Definition Language, Web / REST API)
  • PowerApps (forms, canvas apps, use of Variables and Collections)
  • SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Views, T-SQL)
Not required, but preferred
  • Experience with SharePoint Online, PowerShell (PnP), Git, Intermediate applied statistics, Leaflet
  • Front-end web technologies (JavaScript / HTML / CSS), back-end technologies (Python, Web APIs)
  • UI / UX engineering experience
  • Data warehousing experience (Extract, Transform, Load [ETL])
