Description

1. Test product lots as scheduled in an efficient manner per procedures and specifications.
2. Performs environmental monitoring, subculturing and identification of organisms.
3. Initiate Quality Event reports (QEs) for Finished Good testing and Environmental Monitoring Program.
4. Initiate QC OOS Investigations and be able to perform investigations.
5. Supports continuous improvement processes in QC and replenishment of QC supplies using lean standards (5S).
6. Update SOPs as needed.
7. Support QC and special projects that may arise in other departments as requested by management.
8. Promote a safe workplace by identifying potential hazards, wear appropriate PPE, and review safety procedures regularly and how to integrate them into daily activities.

• Bachelors  degree in biology or related field and 0-3 years of experience in quality control, or related field.
• OR In lieu of degree, 5 years of quality of experience in quality control, or related field.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Must have a knowledge of GMP compliance.
• Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands.
• Must also be able to work in team environment, building effective working relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Makes decisions based on defined guidelines and procedures.
• Performs trouble shooting and applies problem solving skills to determine cause of problem areas.
