QC Analyst
Description
- Test product lots as scheduled in an efficient manner per procedures and specifications.
- Performs environmental monitoring, subculturing and identification of organisms.
- Initiate Quality Event reports (QEs) for Finished Good testing and Environmental Monitoring Program.
- Initiate QC OOS Investigations and be able to perform investigations.
- Supports continuous improvement processes in QC and replenishment of QC supplies using lean standards (5S).
- Update SOPs as needed.
- Support QC and special projects that may arise in other departments as requested by management.
- Promote a safe workplace by identifying potential hazards, wear appropriate PPE, and review safety procedures regularly and how to integrate them into daily activities.
- Bachelors degree in biology or related field and 0-3 years of experience in quality control, or related field.
- OR In lieu of degree, 5 years of quality of experience in quality control, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Must have a knowledge of GMP compliance.
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands.
- Must also be able to work in team environment, building effective working relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Makes decisions based on defined guidelines and procedures.
- Performs trouble shooting and applies problem solving skills to determine cause of problem areas.
