Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to coordinate all technical coaching. Oversee the technical requirements for all Card Production Operators. Assist in the development in compliance expectations for each position to perform the card production operations – media pour, tape, label, print, and package the Vitek 2 cards within the card production department. Create and update employee curricula. Organize employee requirement documentation files. Conduct Reagent Manufacturing tours. Facilitate computer education for the department. Perform direct labor as needed.

Primary Duties

  • Coordination and execution of operator training for new and modified procedures and drawings.
  • Train consistency across all shifts for following Standard Operating Procedures and filling out the correct paperwork.
  • Maintaining employee training records and certifications.
  • Report training status and progress for each Technician on shift to ensure machinery and process compliance qualifications are satisfactory.
  • Qualified to lead technical operations such as a process room or rework process.
  • Review and update or create procedures as needed.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • 4+ years of related experience as a trainer in an FDA-regulated, manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal Train‑the‑Trainer training or Trainer certification or coursework perferred

Working Conditions

  • Ability to remain in stationary position, either sitting or standing, for prolonged periods
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like
  • Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions

 

The pay for this role in the state of Missouri is $23.00 to $32.00/hr. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
