WHAT’S OUR SECRET SAUCE?
Melvin Branham joined Benihana in August 2015 as our General Manager of Benihana Atlanta. He demonstrated warm personality and strong managerial skills. His restaurant quickly became the official Training Restaurant for the Atlanta market.
In 2016, Melvin was named the General Manager for our brand new Benihana restaurant in Boca Raton, FL where he successfully launched the Benihana brand to a new community. While in his position, he also debuted our Benihana concession in Hard Rock stadium in Miami, home of the Miami Dolphins. Melvin’s leadership and passion made him the perfect candidate for promotion and in 2021, he was named Regional Manager for the East Coast.
Melvin believes his success is due to his love for people and being able to positively affect lives through practicing our mission of treating our guests, employees and partners with grace, dignity, respect and integrity. His greatest pleasure is making our guests happy and creating great guest memories!
Saul Molina Rodriguez
Pornnida “Dadar” Poolaor started as a server at Benihana in Orlando in 2013. Just a year later, she was called to set up the Server training Program at Benihana’s International Drive restaurant and soon after, was promoted to Shift Supervisor. She continued to shine in her service and dedication, becoming a manager, and finally a General Manager in 2017.
Dadar’s steady growth came as a result of putting her heart and soul into her work, leading her team to create a thriving, top-performing restaurant. Dadar attributes our Benihana company culture that treats employees with grace, dignity, respect, and integrity, and values the contributions they make across the board, to Benihana’s continued success.
Meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations is one of Dadar’s long-held standards. “We’re well-known as a delightful place. I hear a birthday or celebration song at least 20 times a day. Everyone thinks about Benihana as a happy place for their important celebration or special occasion!” We pride ourselves on creating great guest memories, and Dadar and her team excel at this mission.
Please meet Sandra Luis, our celebrated teppan chef in Benihana Dulles! Sandra began her career at Benihana in 2017 as a prep cook where her talents were quickly recognized, and she was promoted just after six months.
Sandra is inspired by her tenured chef colleagues and is focused on developing her craft to create great guest memories and she embraces our Benihana mission to treat our guests, employees and partners with grace, dignity, respect, and integrity. She deeply connects with this purpose because she feels it is the most important attribute that each person can offer, apart from providing delicious food and excellent service.
Benihana honored Sandra this past week during International Women’s Day and we continue to applaud her dedication every day. Sandra has a brilliant future with Benihana.
