Envision yourself at Barracuda 

Barracuda Networks is looking for a Software Engineer to be part of the Network Security Business Unit. Together with our professional Software Engineers you will develop and maintain our Firewall products. In this position you will work on client/server applications that facilitate and complement a cutting-edge Firewall product.

Tech Stack:

• Git as a modern, flexible version control system
• Modern C++ as versatile high-performance programming language
• Continuous integration for giving you timely feedback on your commits
• Desktop Linux distribution of your choice

What you’ll be working on

• Take part in the whole software development process of our Linux-based Firewall product
• Develop new and improve existing client/server applications on Linux in C++
• Develop and improve services around our new cloud-based firewall product
• Occasionally develop and improve helper applications in Python, Bash, Go
• Cooperate with your colleagues of other departments in Austria, Portugal, UK, US
• Continuously acquire and improve your competences

What you bring to the role

• Computer Science background or a degree in a related engineering area
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in software development
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability and readiness to cooperate and communicate
• MUST: good knowledge of C++
• Experience in network programming and/or cryptography is a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience, and qualification. Based on the CBA level, the minimum gross salary for this position is EUR 39.956,00.
