As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will collaborate with multiple business systems, products and services teams across the organization to ensure that enterprise data is well architected, understood and governed. You will collaborate with both data producing and consuming teams, bridging the gap between technical leadership, security, product engineering, business systems and data analysts across marketing, sales, revenue, and product. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, deploying, and managing Barracuda's data architecture. You will define and implement policies, procedures, standards, on how data is collected, stored, processed, managed and used throughout the organization.
In this role, you will be working at the intersection of business, applications, data, and technology in a highly collaborative environment.

What you’ll be working on
- Data Architecture: Collaborate across business and technology stakeholders to devise and implement a data strategy, data architecture and data governance, while adhering to industry best practices, aligned with company goals.
- Data Integrations: Architect and implement processes, systems, tools and capabilities required to ingest, store, process, and integrate core data assets from sources such as Salesforce. Work with external tooling/platform vendors to address technical challenges as necessary.
- Data Management: Ensure business areas treat their data as a first-class citizen in their systems and applications with strong emphasis on data quality. Identify gaps and propose solutions to enhance scalability, reliability, performance and security.
- Business Processes: Understand and influencing company business processes, systems, functions, data management and how it relates to downstream data use cases,
- Data Use Cases: Take ownership to engage with analytics teams to understand requirements, formulate solutions and deliver them with a sense of urgency while balancing the long-term and short-term needs.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement logical and physical data models for data lakes and data warehouses to store, retrieve and share company data for analytics and other use cases.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Educate team members through training and individual support.
What you bring to the role
- 13+ years of proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant field.
- Strong understanding of the business. Excellent domain knowledge and experience with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite etc. and related business processes.
- Must have deep understanding of Salesforce and NetSuite data architecture. Salesforce and NetSuite certifications are a plus.
- Advanced SQL skills. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing design, and data pipelines. Experience with tools such as dbt, ERwin, PowerDesigner etc.
- Experience with Spark, Databricks and related technologies is a plus.
- Experience with public cloud, preferably AWS.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Outstanding problem solver. Good written and verbal communication skills.

The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $220,000 to $240,000 CAD. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
