Essential Duties and Responsibilities

seeking a seasoned Project Manager with experience ideally within the medical device,
pharmaceutical, and/or biotechnology sectors. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in
client-facing roles, managing dynamic teams, and making high-level presentations. Our
expectation is for a proactive individual who enjoys hands-on project management and thrives
in dynamic environments. The following is a short list of the typical responsibilities and
deliverables.  

  • Provides strong project management and strategic oversight on Client projects
    which may include but are not limited to commissioning, qualification and validation
    (CQV) of new or modified systems, facility expansions or renovations, QMS
    implementation, Supplier Management, and Manufacturing.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for capital projects in the Life Sciences industry, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule, identifying and mitigating risks to
    ensure successful project delivery
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and
    collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage with clients to understand project requirements, expectations, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Defend the critical path of the project, ensuring that key milestones are met and deviations are proactively addressed. 
  • Implement strategies to accelerate project timelines where possible, without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with CQV teams to integrate Commissioning, Qualification, and
    Validation activities seamlessly into the overall project plan.
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively address issues that may impact project
    delivery.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent technical degree. Masters degree preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in capital project management within the life sciences industry with a focus on facility expansions and new builds.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing complex projects, demonstrating the ability to drive results and meet project objectives.
  • Familiarity with Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation processes in a Life
    Sciences setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and
    maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are desirable
  • Experience working on multi-employer sites (more than one contractor on a single construction site).
  • Familiarity with reviewing technical submissions from all team members to ensure everything necessary to install and commission systems in the building are provided.
