Description

This position is for a Systems Engineer who's worked in a regulated environment (Preferably an FDA regulated environment, writing policy and procedures).
 
A systems engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's information technology systems. This includes:
  • Designing
  • Creating the basic computing infrastructure, networking rules for cybersecurity, and new solutions
  • Implementing
  • Installing, configuring, and testing operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Maintaining
  • Troubleshooting network errors and other technical issues, ensuring systems and infrastructure availability, and implementing warranty and support activities
 
Systems engineers also provide advice on hardware and software to ensure a client's computer system meets their needs. They may also evaluate existing systems and provide technical direction to IT support staff.
 
Systems engineers should have strong skills in communication, interpersonal relations, project management, and governance. They should also be adept at analysis, problem solving, and conflict resolution, as they work with a variety of departments and shareholders who may have different goals for a project. Other skills that are beneficial for systems engineers include:
information security, integration, data architecture, programming, mathematics, application development, and systems software.
