American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Supervisor, Practitioner Contract Administration to join our Practitioner Contract Administration team. This position will supervise the activities and assigned staff in the department in order to meet/exceed department standards and turn-around times.

Remote Worker Considerations

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the activities and staff of a Practitioner Contract Administration team to ensure that accuracy and productivity meets/exceeds company standards and health plan expectations.
  • Coordinates workflow and assignments to staff members within predetermined timelines.
  • Monitors and track performance and productivity standards, both individually and collectively to report Associate Manager on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Evaluates performance, provides constructive feedback, conducts counseling and training sessions, and supports staff members in the accomplishment of assigned objectives and projects.
  • Assists staff in resolving technical issues.
  • Assesses trends, practitioner issues, and credentialing challenges. Presents findings and recommendations to Associate Manager.
  • Recognizes unique and problem situations within assigned areas of responsibility. Researches and formulates solutions in conjunction with Associate Manager.
  • Evaluates staffing and resource needs and makes recommendations to Associate Manager.
  • Recruits, interviews, and recommends the hiring of new staff members.
  • Prepares and delivers performance appraisals.
  • When necessary, prepares and delivers corrective action plans and participates in the termination process.
  • Ensures that the team represents ASH in an ethical, professional, and positive manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all practitioner data, and related issues.
  • Accountable for achieving internal and external performance standards; reports results to Management, identifies and resolves barriers to achieve results.
  • Communicates timely and effectively, recognizing unique and/or problem situations within assigned area of responsibility, researches and formulates solutions in conjunction with Associate Manager.
  • Implements and monitors operations policies and procedures and quality oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, health plan delegation, and ASH standards.
  • Conveys clear and concise messages appropriate to intended audience; represents ASH in a professional manner through effective oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrates good judgment through appropriate delegation while maintaining proper oversight and follow up; prepares leadership staff for situational delegation.
  • Uses effective project management skills and tools to facilitate projects, remove barriers, monitor milestones, and accomplish deliverables according to plan.
  • Uses resources effectively (people, time, expenses) to manage within or below budgetary targets based upon current business environment.
  • Researching and resolving the issues of escalated provider inquiries.
  • Assist in updating and implementing Policies and Procedures as needed.
  • Consistently communicates across various functions and departments driving appropriate collaboration, coordination, analysis, and timing of deliverables.
  • Compiles and reports daily, weekly, and monthly status activity and results.
  • Monitors incoming work and inventory of work on hand and is prepared to report results to Associate Manager at any given time.
  • Tracks daily, weekly, and monthly production and status reports.
  • Produces daily, weekly, monthly departmental reports monitoring the team’s progress and needs.
  • Prepares ad-hoc analyses as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • Two years’ experience with 10 key, typing, and computer skills.
  • Industry health care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of American Specialty Health preferred.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access software.

Mobility

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time. 

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects.  Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard.  Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Office and/or Work-from-home (WFH) environment.

Salary Range

American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $45,000.00 to $56,160.00 Full Time Annual Salary Range.
