Summary:
HVAC Estimator will work with the HVAC Service Manager, Account Managers and Technicians to develop detailed, accurate and timely quotes. They will review plans and specs, attend job walks, and meet with suppliers and clients while developing the quotes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide back of house and client facing support for the Service Manager including but not limited to:
- Attend Job Walkthroughs
- Review bid requests, plans and specifications, etc. to qualify projects for appropriate action
- Estimate projects by developing formal Client Proposal, System Sketches with all details required for Subcontractor RFP and Estimating System input.
- Maintain bid lists and CRM entries accurately with timely updates
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Field Bid Request phone calls/emails, and query client for project details.
- Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest
- Maintain general contractors, mechanical contractors, and consulting engineers account lists
- Assist with the preparation of technical proposals and prequalification forms
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Mechanical industry
- 1-3 years’ experience with HVAC or Mechanical Sales.
- Entry-level candidates will be considered on an individual basis
- Proven history of sales activities focused on contractor relationships and professional selling skills
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with scope development and specification writing
- Must be comfortable with Computers and software.
- Valid driver’s license
