Position Summary:
The BMS Foreman is primarily responsible for planning, training and mentoring for all electrical team. They will establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedules for the projects, assist with organizing and coordinating all project materials and equipment, provide pre-planning assistance, on-going mentorship and training throughout the projects. The Foreman will be expected to work alongside the electrical staff when required. They will ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by Ainsworth with a focus on quality, and workmanship.


·       Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises/mentors the work of Technicians, Apprentices and helpers engaged in the construction, installation, of projects. 

·       Provide Training and Mentorship to all electricians. Training to include conduit, wiring, terminating, plans and specs, organization and soft skills.   

·       Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new construction and retrofit jobs 

·       Assist in the development of team members’ growth in a technical aspect.  

·       Conducts periodic inspections and gives on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments; assures availability of equipment, materials, and supplies. 

·       Work with Project Managers to coordinate with other construction trades. 

·       Keeps track of the hours and other costs required for projected jobs; keeps track of costs and job progress to work with the Operations Team on financial tracking and manpower forecasting. 

·       Enforces safety regulations, rules, and working conditions. 

·       Help Estimating/Project Management teams to estimate low voltage wiring installation budgets.  

·       Recruits and trains personnel in the safe operation of equipment, tools and successful project completions. 

·       Adhere to all company policies and procedures 



·       Current LEB/LEA/General Journeyman License for Oregon mandatory 

·       O6 License for Washington is an asset.  

·       5 years experience in the Controls/DDC or Construction Field 

·       Experience mentoring and/or managing other electricians/apprentices 

·       Experience or familiarity with BMS and/or Access Control Systems 

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to forecast 

·       Comfortable with a PC in the office answering emails and comfortable being out in the field to mentor/train.
