Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Network Administrator requiring a Secret Clearance located in the Washington D.C National Capital Region. Candidate will be able to primarily work remotely from home but will be required to visit customer location at Columbia, MD on an as-needed basis. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.

As the Senior Network Administrator you will be part of a small elite team assisting with a ServiceNow implementation. You will be required to design, configure, and test the network environment, establish and troubleshoot access and authentication integration with ServiceNow instances (i.e., DoD Zero Trust / SIPRNet IDP / Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) assertion / Centrify).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and consultation using your expertise of networking, security, and/or data center
  • Design solutions for customers and document the scope of projects
  • Interact with customers on solutions and recommendations
  • Help to support custom applications in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Provide recommendations on tools and technologies to best improve monitoring and management of the network

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong Routing and Switching Networking expertise
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with network products:  switches, routers, wireless, firewalls, etc.
  • At least 10 years of technology experience
  • Proven ability to understand, translate, and implement security standards on-premises and in the cloud
  • Must be familiar with Splunk, Nagios, and other security and monitoring tools
  • Designing network solutions for enterprise customers experience
  • Experience in AWS GovCloud Networking (e.g., VPCs, security groups, network segmentation), preferably in a DoD CC SRG IL 4+ capacity
  • Associates Degree or higher in a related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering)
  • Proven presentation skills
  • Excellent communications, documentation, and customer facing skills
  • Must have Secret clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated
  • Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong RHEL and Windows experience
  • Previous experience assisting with ServiceNow implementations
  • Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) experience
  • Experience supporting customers in the Department of Defense
