When you will work: 30-32 hrs per week, Monday through Friday

Northwest Center is looking for a Family Resources Coordinator (FRC). This FRC would be responsible for coordinating services for children with identified hearing loss as well as children with identified delays. The candidate will be joining the FRC team designated for the deaf and hard of hearing programs.

The FRC is responsible for helping families within early intervention identify their priorities and organizes services around those priorities. The FRC works directly with the family and educators/therapists to coordinate services from the child’s early intervention intake to exit.

Candidates do not need to be familiar with children or families with hearing loss. The ideal candidate will easily establish rapport with families and team members, be self-sufficient and an independent worker, have knowledge of child development and assessments, strong team player, highly organized with documentation and time management and be able and willing to learn computer based data systems.

Experience:                           

  • Must have knowledge of child development birth to three
  • FRC training preferred
  • Previous Family Resource Coordinator role preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to conduct developmental assessments
  • Proficient in data entry and comfortable with learning new database systems
  • Able to use Microsoft suite efficiently
  • Background in human services preferred
  • Able to read, write, converse and understand English fluently; strong verbal and written communication skills are a must

Requirements:                                  

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Must drive own vehicle and provide own vehicle insurance
