Position Overview:
The Global Services Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, billing accuracy, and profitability analysis for the Services business across multiple entities. This role will ensure revenue integrity, cost optimization, and compliance with internal controls and financial systems. The incumbent will lead the EMEA Services Accounting team, working closely with project managers, sales, operations, and FP&A to ensure that service contracts are billed, reported, and forecasted accurately.
The Global Services Finance Manager will also play a key role in developing and enforcing global financial processes, partnering with Zones US on alignment of tools and reporting standards to ensure efficient and transparent financial management across the organization.
What you’ll do as the Global Services Finance Manager:

Key Responsibilities:
- Review monthly billing from PMs and PMOs for all customers in line with SOW and purchase orders.
- Review projects’ P&Ls prepared by project managers and highlight any inconsistencies.
- Clear and consistent tracking of Services profitability per entity/customer/project.
- Accurate month-end reporting and financial forecasts for services-related revenue and cost.
- Design and ensure full compliance with internal controls and accurate usage of the finance system (F&O).
- Timely and insightful communication of monthly service financial results to VPs, including variance commentary and margin insights.
- Review system information and make required adjustments to correct the information.
- Manage the EMEA Services Accountant Team
- Establish strong partnerships with various departments and review their submissions to validate billing inputs against SOWs and purchase orders.
- Implement a structured billing and cost review cycle to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and issue resolution.
- Maintain profitability by monitoring tools by tracking cost vs revenue per customer and EMEA entities each month.
- Produce timely and accurate month-end reports and forecasts reflecting current service contract performance.
- Ensure accurate posting in the F&O system, reconciliations and maintain audit trails for all entries.
- Establish clear communication flow with VPs to share monthly performance updates, highlight risks, and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with Zones US on matters related to implementation of tools, business alignment and project reporting.
Monthly Billing Execution & Query Management
- Help the services team in generating monthly invoices in F&O based on delivered services and contracted terms.
- Match costs and revenue lines to each customer accurately.
- Escalate unresolved disputes to management or the Services team with commentary.
Profitability Monitoring
- Track revenue, costs, and margin by customers and entities each month.
- Compare actual numbers with forecasted or budgeted amounts.
- Investigate material variances and share insights with FP&A and Services leadership.
- Maintain a rolling profitability report per service engagement.
Month-End Close & Forecasting
- Prepare and post service-related journals (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications) in F&O.
- Support the month-end close process by ensuring service-related income and costs are booked accurately and timely for all Zones entities.
- Prepare monthly service revenue accruals and expense accruals to reflect delivered but unbilled work or incurred but unposted costs.
- Automate and enhance financial processes to adapt to evolving business needs.
System Accuracy & Compliance
- Accurately share all journals and adjustments in F&O for all entities
- Ensure all intercompany balances are reconciled across all entities
- Maintain audit trails for all entries including backup documentation (SOWs, PO approvals, calculations).
- Follow company guidelines for revenue recognition, matching, and system usage.
Stakeholder Management
- Share monthly service revenue, costs, and margin performance with VPs after each close.
- Provide support for a variance commentary, explanations for deviations from forecast, and customer-level highlights.
- Collaborate on addressing underperforming engagements or missed billing.
- Ensure alignment with Global Reporting and FP&A before results distribution.
- Enable various teams to transform through process redesigns to support Services business expansion.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA would be a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, project accounting, or services finance, preferably within a multinational or complex organizational structure.
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience in managing end-to-end financial processes for services-based organizations.
- Excellent understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition, and financial controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner effectively with senior leadership.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data to drive insights and improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O) or similar ERP systems, along with strong Excel and reporting skills.
Key Skill Requirements:
- Expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data analysis and executive presentations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance frameworks, and audit readiness.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience working with EMEA entities and multi-currency environments.
- Familiarity with shared services or global finance operations.
- Exposure to data analytics or process automation tools (Power BI, SQL, or similar).
- Prior collaboration with FP&A and corporate reporting teams in a multinational organization.
