Position Overview:
As an IT Field Support Technician, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our organization's Cloud and on-premise infrastructure. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of network and server protocols, technologies, and best practices, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.
What you’ll do as the IT Field Support Technician:
IT Field Support Technician – Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Deployment: Implement and maintain scalable IT systems across Windows, Linux, VMWare, SD-WAN, Routing, and storage networks.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor systems, resolve issues, and maintain documentation.
- Network & Security Management: Implement and maintain switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless hardware.
- Desktop Support: Provide support, resolve hardware/software issues, and manage help desk tickets.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and continuous improvement.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an IT infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure operating systems and virtualization solutions.
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure hardware and software, such as Dell, HP, Cisco, and EMC.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
- Proficient in IT infrastructure monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
- Experience in cloud architecture and Azure cloud deployments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
