Position Overview:
Zones utilizes Co-Lo Data Center services in both Atlanta and Dallas, and the Engineer will be responsible for overseeing activities at both locations as the primary Zones point of contact. The Engineer will oversee on-site activities, conduct audits, and create/update technical documentation. Act as the designated Zones POC for the Equinix Data Center Co-Lo facility in Dallas. Oversee on-site tasks, including the deployment of new equipment.
What you’ll do as the (Linux Administrator – L2):
- Troubleshoot and restore Windows/Linux servers, including disaster recovery.
- Manage Linux RHEL systems, VMs, build and maintain OVAs, and build/patch/remove servers as needed.
- Work with VxRAIL, HPE, Nutanix, and upgrade Dell ESXi platforms.
- Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi and optimize virtualized/cloud environments.
- Monitor, maintain, and patch server OS across physical, virtual, and cloud setups.
- Implement security best practices and ensure proper documentation.
- Generate system performance and capacity reports.
- Troubleshoot Linux servers and server-to-switch connectivity.
- Collaborate with IT teams for seamless system and application integration.
