Tester Engineer – TS/SCI
Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a secret cleared Tester Engineer. Focuses on building and maintaining automated test suites, validating system reliability, and providing support for security remediation efforts in both systems configuration and web application components.  Works closely with development, DevOps, security teams, and the other members of the Testing team to identify defects, automate regression and integration tests, and promote timely remediation of vulnerabilities discovered through scanning tools, penetration tests, manual testing, and other sources. Responsibilities: 
  • Design and develop automated test infrastructure and tests, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, analyze and triage security vulnerabilities
  • Perform root-cause analysis for defects and security issues (including suggesting remediations), coordinate with other teams and stakeholders regarding test and remediation initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with security and quality standards, support performance and load testing efforts, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
Minimum Requirement: 
  • Significant expertise with automation frameworks such as NUnit, JUnit, Selenium or Cypress, Visual Studio Test Suite, LoadRunner, and other automated test solutions and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the lifecycle of Web Application request/response and their security concerns as enumerated in OWASP guidelines, including both technical implementation details and best-practice solutions.
  • Minimum proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, C#, and JavaScript for troubleshooting application components.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Batch/Bash, and similar tools.  Minimum proficiency with Git required for tracking test artifacts in source control.
  • Familiarity and experience with CI/CD pipelines and the integration of automated tests into pipelines in such frameworks, particularly Jenkins.
  • Working knowledge of secure software development practices, including the SDLC and basic threat-modeling principles, as well as familiarity with NIST application security guidelines.
  • Knowledge and experience with vulnerability management, CVSS scoring, and remediation workflows across applications and infrastructure.
  • At least one active DOD IAT Level II Certification.
  • Active Secret clearance.
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  •   Clear, concise communication skills and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities are essential.
  •   Experience in DOD/DON/DODIN environments strongly desired.
  •   Experience working with Agile software development, Scrum, or DevSecOps delivery models highly valued.
  • Security-oriented certifications such as CEH, SecX, CySA, PenTest+, ISTQB, OSCP, or GSEC a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Telerik/Kendo UI platforms a plus but not required.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, GraphQL, Karate, or similar tools a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency with Java and Jenkins Plugin development a plus but not required.
