Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Web Designer, who will be supporting the Law Enforcement and related criminal data systems by creating secure, intuitive, and accessible interfaces that make complex crime data understandable for law enforcement, policymakers, and the public. This role blends user‑centered design, data visualization, and accessibility to strengthen public transparency and mission impact. This position directly enhances the client’s ability to deliver accurate, accessible, and transparent crime data to the nation. By improving how users explore and understand criminal justice information, the Web Designer (UI/UX) strengthens public trust, supports data‑driven decision‑making, and advances the mission of the making crime data more accessible to the public. Security Clearance: Top Secret
Location: Clarksburg, WV
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate user and stakeholder requirements into clear, intuitive UI/UX designs for law enforcement data platforms.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and visual assets that simplify complex crime and law enforcement data.
- Develop navigation structures and user flows optimized for data exploration, analytics, and public‑facing transparency.
- Conduct user research and usability testing; incorporate findings to improve design clarity and accessibility.
- Ensure full Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all digital products.
- Collaborate with development teams, analysts, and statisticians to implement accurate, accessible data visualizations.
- Support design reviews, accessibility audits, and quality checks to ensure usability and data integrity.
Minimum Requirements
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance.
- Five years hands on experience with design/prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of usability, interaction design, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Experience designing data visualizations, dashboards, charts, and analytics‑driven interfaces.
- Ability to communicate design decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front‑end concepts (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- IAAP CPACC or WAS
- Human Factors International CUA
- Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification
- Adobe Certified Professional
- TS/SCI eligibility (if required for future task orders)
