Weston Solutions, Inc. is actively seeking an environmental compliance engineer to provide technical support and expertise to project managers in our siting, licensing and permitting practice. 

Location: Austin, TX
Expected Outcomes
  • Capable of reviewing Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plans and evaluating compliance with the rule after either you or your agent conducts a site visit of the facility. Update plans as needed to reflect changes in regulated equipment and facility operations.
    • Knowledge of both onshore non-production and onshore production facilities preferred.
  • Capable of writing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans to comply with TXR050000 or TXR150000.
  • Capable of preparing, or assist in preparing, permit applications for TPDES permits, USACE Nationwide permits, or RCRA Permits.
  • Capable of preparing and/or updating plans such as Contingency Plans, Facility Response Plans, Emergency Action Plans, Integrated Contingency Plans and Waste Management Plans.
  • Capable of preparing reports such as Tier II Reports and Annual Waste Summaries.
  • Capable of researching regulations and making applicability determinations.
  • Have a basic understanding of waste management requirements, including waste classification. 
  • Capable of preparing permitting and compliance documents.
  • Maintains current knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering with 4-6 years of experience
  • EIT Certification or PE is preferred
  • Familiarity with multi-media environmental compliance
  • Able to communicate both verbally and written.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently in a fast paced environment.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $59,000 - $78,800 - $98,300
