The EHS Specialist III is an experienced professional responsible for managing and leading Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, developing and implementing safety programs, and providing technical expertise to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
 
This work will be conducted at Letterkenny Army Depot near Chambersburg, PA.  Weston is looking for someone that lives within a commutable distance to this site.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  
Essential Skills (documented experience):  
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience or 10 years’ equivalent experience in construction safety
  • Construction experience managing safety concerns for work at height/fall protection.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • 30 Hr. OSHA Construction Safety Training – OSHA Wallet Card.
  • USACE 24 Hour Competent Person Fall Protection Training
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED training from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Preferred Skills (documented experience):
  • Experience as USACE Site Safety & Health Officer for Construction Projects
  • Experience in environmental investigations, remediation, or similar HTRW (Hazardous, Toxic, & Radiological Wastes) projects.
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hr., 8 Hr. Refresher, and Supervisor Training
  • Pursuing or holding professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHST, CIH, etc., preferred.
  • Experience with Accident/Incident Investigations.
  • Experience working on industrial roof construction projects.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work nationally across multiple projects.
  • Proven history of contributing to technical publications, committees, or other activities that demonstrate leadership in the EHS profession.
Expected Outcomes: 
  • Lead and manage EHS programs across multiple projects and regions. Mentor and develop EHS practice staff at all levels. Contribute to corporate programs and serve as a resource for technical capability development. Ensure the safety program evolves to meet current industry standards and client requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in core Industrial Hygiene (IH) or Safety. Provide technical input and support for safety planning documents, risk assessments, and project-specific safety requirements. Innovate and evolve the safety program to ensure it is best in class.
  • Interact with clients and regulators to resolve EHS challenges and ensure compliance. Lead complex EHS field tasks and delegate work to qualified staff. Manage project safety performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Communicates EHS status, needs, and challenges to executive leadership. Prepare and review technical reports, safety planning documents, and other deliverables. Participate in client and regulator meetings as a trusted technical resource.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
 

Salary Range: $67,343 - $88,868 - $110,290
