Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development professional for our Electric Vehicle Charging Station business, specifically to drive growth in the State and Local Government sectors. Working with our State and Local Government Electric Vehicle Charging Station business team, this external facing leader will be responsible for executing a business strategy, identification of sales opportunities, direct sales outreach to secure new and repeat business, and customer satisfaction.   This is an external client facing role.

Location: USA; Remote

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Marketing or Business, preferred.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience for this position.
  • A working knowledge of Electric Vehicle Charging Station business and service.
  • Knowledge and experience in the securing and execution of work being funded through the Bi-Partisan Infrastructure and Jobs act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). 

Expected Outcomes:

  • Leveraging existing capabilities and contracts, develop and execute a business strategy for growth.
  • Developing a branding and client outreach plan.
  • Lead the sales lifecycle including prospecting, positioning, capture planning, proposal development, interviews and closing.
  • Develop a positive rapport and trusting relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Maintain strong client relationships with existing clients and develop new client relationships that allow for expanded business.
  • Have experience (or capabilities) to filter through State and City departments, to identify strategic thinkers and execution team, i.e., procurement, purchasing, with the goal of nurturing relationships.
  • Experience navigating and identifying legislative efforts that can support and drive our business.
  • Excellent technical skills with clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.

Salary Range: $112,200 - $149,600 - $187,000
