Director of Maternal Child Health - Birthing Center - Full-time, Exempt

Position Summary:
The Nursing Director is an administrative level manager for one or more specialty care areas within the Patient Care Services Division. The Director assumes responsibility and accountability for the overall functioning of assigned units/programs/service, working in cooperation and collaboration with management nurses assigned to each unit/program/service to assure optimal patient care.
Directs the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care which are integrated with business plans that meet or exceed cost, quality, clinical, and utilization standards and performance measures. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN License.
- Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or equivalent degree.
- Certification in MCH and/or Nursing Administration recommended.
- Maintains current BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- Must have five (5) years nursing practice within specialty area with demonstrated expertise.
- Must have demonstrated progressive supervisory and leadership experience in nursing administration.
