Salary Range: $41.42 - $47.38 + applicable differentials 

Position Summary:
 
The Orthopedic Technician’s primary function is to assist doctors and nurses in the care and management of patients with musculoskeletal conditions or injuries in the provision of safe and effective care.
 
Under the direction and supervision of an RN, assumes responsibility and accountability for assignments for a designated time frame, assisting other nursing staff in providing patient care according to established methods/policies/standards.
 
In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.
 
Qualifications:

Education: 
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of a course specifically relating to the care of the orthopedic patient or previous training in the field of orthopedics required.
Experience:
  • Acute Care experience in orthopedics within past year preferred
 
Licensure/Certification:
  • Current CPR certification required
 
Additional Skills:
  • Verbal communication skills required
  • Emotional stamina to work in stressful environment required
